The podcast for small
business owners trying
to build a business that
actually works for them
Do your thing is the podcast that’ll help you to build a business that actually works for you: with real talk, helpful habits, and stories from folk doing it their way.
Hosted by Fliss Lee, brand coach and Founder of Honest Folk, Do your thing is for founders and freelancers who started their business to feel free but somewhere along the way, got a bit stuck in the “shoulds.”
In each episode, Fliss explores what it really takes to build a business that fits around who you are, how you work, and what you want out of life. She’s learning in real time, after hitting burnout and rebuilding her business from the inside out. And she’s chatting to brilliant humans who’ve done the same.
You’ll hear honest conversations about the messy middle, the mindset shifts, and the small-but-mighty changes that help you feel clearer, more confident, and more you in the way you work.
If you’re done with doing things by the book, and ready to figure out how to do business your way — you’re in the right place.
Hey, I’m Fliss
There’s two things I’ve always loved in this world: finding out how things work, and understanding people. Put those two together, and you pretty much get brand strategy.
(If I’m allowed more than two things to love, I’d also add my 12-year-old house rabbit Dali, black cat Mo, endless cups of tea, and New Zealand where I lived for a bit in my 20s. Oh — and Yorkshire, where I live now with my husband.)
I spend my days helping founders, freelancers and growing independent businesses build their brand and business their way.
Loving what you do shouldn't have to wait until "one day", or after you've finished that to-do list. Enjoying your business starts right now.
