Conversations with founders, freelancers and creative folk about building a business their way – and what they’ve learned along the way.

Do your thing: Podcast

Do your thing is a podcast about building a business and career that works for you, rather than following someone else’s rules about how it should be done.

Hosted by brand coach and Head of Brand Fliss Lee, the podcast brings together honest conversations with founders, freelancers and creative business owners about the choices they’ve made, the things they’ve had to unlearn and what they’ve figured out along the way.

Through real stories and experiences, we get into everything from finding your own way of working and taking yourself seriously as a business owner, to navigating self-employment and making decisions that fit the kind of life and business you actually want.

Whether you’re figuring things out, questioning the way you’ve always done them, or just want to hear how other people are doing things differently, there’ll be something in Do your thing to take away and try in how you work.

Hey, I’m Fliss

There’s two things I’ve always loved in this world: finding out how things work, and understanding people. Put those two together, and you pretty much get brand strategy.

(If I’m allowed more than two things to love, I’d also add my 12-year-old house rabbit Dali, black cat Mo, endless cups of tea, and New Zealand where I lived for a bit in my 20s. Oh — and Yorkshire, where I live now with my husband.)

I spend my days helping founders, freelancers and growing independent businesses build their brand and business their way.

Loving what you do shouldn't have to wait until "one day", or after you've finished that to-do list. Enjoying your business starts right now.
